The New Charlatans
sha – lar – tan (noun): “a flamboyant deceiver, a person practicing quackery, a malicious trickster”. The New Charlatans have arrived, unleashing a truckload of abstract, moody blues on audiences around WA. Soulful as the cries of a drunk at closing time one moment, and four to the floor like happy hour the next, you'll never quite know whether you've been dealt a winning hand, or taken for a ride. Craig Sinclair on guitars and vocals, Roy Martinez (Dave Mann Collective, Cinema Prague) on bass, Jean-Guy Lemire on harmonica and Angus Diggs (Jeff Lang, Mia Dyson) on drums and other select pieces of salvaged junk drive the timeless sounds of the Delta via the Australian desert into a venue near you. Listen on myspace!

2007 Release - Barefoot Ballads: Live at the Kidogo Arthouse
The latest offering from Craig Sinclair is an intimate
live recording entitled Barefoot Ballads, captured solo and
acoustic in May 2007 by George Kailis and mixed by Pete Grandison
at Shanghai Twang studios. With nowhere to hide, this recording
is a collection of moving and honest acoustic folk-blues
songs. "Barefoot Ballads" has been doing the rounds
on community and national radio of late, and early reviews have
been glowing in their praise.
Available at local record stores Mills (Fremantle), 78s
